Dr. Terrica (Terri) Durbin earned her BSN from Lewis-Clark State College in 1999, followed by an MSN from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2009, a DNP from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2013, and a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Tennessee in 2020.
Dr. Durbin serves as the Director of the School of Nursing at Western Carolina University. Dr. Durbin is an active member of the nursing community and has held several positions within the Tennessee Association of Nurse Anesthetists, including District Director, President-Elect, President, and Federal Political Director. She has also served on multiple committees within the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA), including Government Relations, Education, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the Faculty Stabilization Task Force. Additionally, she served on the Program Committee for the Diversity Symposium of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.
Dr. Durbin was named a Fellow of the Rural Health Association of Tennessee in 2020 and was inducted as a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology in 2021. For any inquiries, Dr. Durbin can be reached at tdurbin@wcu.edu.
