Associate Professor
South College - Knoxville DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program
Riverview, Florida, United States
Dr. Jeanne Antolchick believes mentorship is the key element in advancing the nurse anesthesiology profession. As a clinician, she can provide anesthesia to one patient at a time. However, as an educator, she influences the care of thousands of patients. Her goal as an associate professor is not simply to prepare nurse anesthesiology residents (NARs) for the anesthesia job market but to ensure the graduates can evaluate information, remain skeptical and open-minded, and make critical decisions about their surrounding environment. She feels successful when her newly-graduated colleagues can reach an ethical conclusion using sound judgement grounded in evidence, both inside and outside of the operating room.
